The founder of Insatiable Local Market, Ms Nthabiseng Mthimkhulu, is encouraging small business owners and local creatives to showcase their products at a market to take place every Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm in Mabopane Block A.
The main purpose of the insatiable local market is to sell pre-loved (second-hand) items such as clothes, shoes, furniture at a cheap price from as little as R5.
He said 10% of the profit will go to the Insatiable Foundation to reform and transform the lives of the community.
Ms Mthimkhulu said another purpose of the initiative is to help organizations and residential homes to restore, rebuild and refashion what has been stolen, destroyed, and killed in human lives like restructure home set up and also re-package closets.
“We know the feeling of lacking and wanting things for your heart desire, people steal, do fraud, kill one another for these things even do adultery for designer clothes,” she said.
”The inspiration came from God, he is the one who gave me the idea to off-load the financial burden people have and to help with the financial pressure the communities have,” added Ms Mthimkhulu.
